In 2010, I contacted several Ethiopian Microfinance NGOs and proposed to join their team as « free-standing » intern.

The Buusaa Gonofaa Institution, answered positively to my call and welcomed me in their office. My presence was not justified by any donors or any development cooperation plan; we had the freedom to interact as colleagues and to focus on the actual needs of the institution.

 

A project that questions power relations and assumptions in the development aid sector. It challenges some economic notions on profit, investment and added value.
