Textile Workshop at the Schrassig Prison (Luxembourg)

Since summer 2024, I conceive and facilitate textile workshop at the premises of the penitentiary of Schrassig (L).

 

Through the medium of embroidery and textile collage, participants reappropriate their way of expressing themselves and get to know themselves anew.

 

It is a unique opportunity to meet the inmates and give them a chance to escape from their daily lives in prison. These workshops are also a great opportunity to observe the mechanisms and rituals of oppression and loss of freedom.
